Data protection

Privacy policy

Below we explain, briefly and in plain language, what personal data we process through this website, for what purpose, how long we keep it and what rights you have under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

1. Controller

Who is responsible for your data

The controller of the personal data collected through this website is Benjamin Fix Service, based in Dumbrăvița, Timiș county. You can contact us about your data at any time by e-mail at info@benjamin-fix-auto.ro or by phone at +40 724 714 202.

We process your data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the applicable Romanian data protection legislation.

2. Data we collect

What data we process and why

Contact and quote request forms: we process the data you send us voluntarily – name, phone number, e-mail address and the content of your message – solely to answer your request and provide the service you asked for (a price estimate, a booking, a call-out). The legal basis is taking steps prior to entering into a contract, at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Phone and WhatsApp contact: if you contact us by phone or WhatsApp, we process your number and the content of the communication in order to handle your request. For WhatsApp, the privacy policy of its operator (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) additionally applies.

Technical access data: when you visit the site, the hosting server automatically records standard technical data (IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, browser type) in server logs, for security purposes and the technical operation of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest).

3. Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses strictly necessary cookies for basic operation (for example remembering your cookie choice and your preferred language). These do not require consent.

Analytics cookies are only activated if you give your explicit consent via the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the page footer. Refusing analytics cookies does not limit your use of the site in any way.

4. Third-party services

Google Maps and the site’s fonts

The contact page can display a Google Maps map. The map does not load automatically: you first see a placeholder with a button, and the connection to Google is only made once you click “Load the map”. From that moment your browser transmits technical data (including your IP address) to Google Ireland Ltd., and Google may set cookies. Your choice is stored locally in your browser so we don’t have to ask on every visit. Details about how Google processes data are in Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

The site’s fonts are hosted on our own server. We do not use Google Fonts or any other external delivery network, so simply loading a page opens no connection to Google’s servers.

Buttons and links to WhatsApp and Google (for example our review profile) only open those services when clicked – simply visiting the site transmits no data to these platforms.

5. Storage

How long we keep your data

We keep data from contact requests for as long as needed to handle the request and, after that, only to the extent that legal retention obligations exist (for example accounting documents for an invoiced job) or there is a legitimate documentation interest. Technical server logs are deleted automatically at short intervals.

We do not sell, rent out or pass on your data to third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with third parties where necessary to perform the service (for example with your insurer, at your express request) or where the law requires it.

6. Your rights

Your rights under the GDPR

Regarding your personal data you have the following rights: the right of access (Art. 15), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (the “right to be forgotten”, Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). Consent you have given (for example for analytics cookies) can be withdrawn at any time, with effect for the future.

To exercise these rights, write to us at info@benjamin-fix-auto.ro – we reply without undue delay. If you believe the processing of your data breaches the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP), Bulevardul General Gheorghe Magheru 28–30, Bucharest, www.dataprotection.ro.
