What’s included

What the extended service includes

The extended service is the whole maintenance package, not just the oil: it is the interval at which every filter is replaced, the fuel filter included. We work to your car manufacturer’s specifications and use materials matched to your engine – diesel or petrol.

At the end you get the exact list of materials used and checks performed: you know what was changed, what was topped up and what else we noticed. And if the service uncovers something more serious, we don’t just fix it “by default” – we call you, explain, and you decide.

One detail we care about: we use filters from established manufacturers, not no-name parts of dubious origin. The price difference is small; the difference in protection for your engine is big. Fair prices for exactly this kind of work are one of the themes that keep coming back in our Google reviews.

  • Engine oil + oil filter change
  • Air filter replacement
  • Pollen (cabin) filter replacement
  • Fuel filter replacement (according to the manufacturer’s interval)
  • Checking and topping up fluids (coolant, brake, washer)
  • Quick diagnostics: reading the fault codes from the on-board computer
Included as standard

Free checks with every service

At every service we also look over the safety points – at no extra cost. If we find something, we tell you; the decision stays yours.

Brakes and pads

We visually check pad and disc wear and the condition of the brake fluid. If your brakes still have life in them, we’ll tell you honestly that they do.

Lights and signals

Headlights, tail lights, indicators, brake lights – a complete five-minute check that can save you a fine or a dangerous situation.

Tyres

Tread depth, even wear and pressure. Odd wear often gives away wheel alignment that has drifted out of tolerance.

Air conditioning

We check whether the AC is actually cooling. If it needs more, we sort it here too – see air conditioning service.

Intervals

How often should the car be serviced?

The general rule, unless your manufacturer says otherwise. If you do lots of short city trips, lean towards the shorter interval.

Mileage / intervalWhat’s usually done
10,000–15,000 km, or every 12 monthsStandard service: oil + oil filter, safety checks; air/pollen filters depending on their condition
30,000–40,000 kmExtended service: all filters, fuel filter included; brake and fluid checks
60,000 kmOn top of the service: spark plugs (petrol), belt and brake pad checks
100,000 km and beyondMajor scheduled work: timing kit (per the manufacturer’s interval), brake fluid, coolant

Exact intervals vary from model to model – tell us the make, year and engine on the phone and we’ll confirm exactly what’s due at your mileage, with the price quoted up front.

Good to know

Service or ITP? The difference in short

They’re often confused, but they’re different things. The ITP is Romania’s mandatory periodic technical inspection (think MOT or TÜV) – an official check that decides whether the car is allowed on the road. A service is the actual maintenance: the oil change, the filters and the checks that keep the car in good shape.

A simple comparison: the ITP is like an exam – it judges and gives a verdict, but it doesn’t prepare you for it. The service is the preparation itself: it’s what turns the exam into a formality. That’s why the two don’t replace each other, they complement each other – and why the right order is service first, inspection second.

The ITP doesn’t repair anything and doesn’t replace servicing – and a service doesn’t count as an ITP. The good news: a well-maintained car passes the ITP without drama. If a service turns up something that would fail the inspection – a brake pad at its limit, a blown bulb, play in the steering – we tell you in advance so you can sort it out in time at repairs.

There’s a third notion floating around too: the “seasonal check”, the spring or winter inspection. Nobody actually regulates that one – with us it’s simply part of the free checks at every service, so you don’t pay separately for it and don’t need an extra appointment.

Materials

Which oil we use

We use oil with the viscosity and specification required by your car’s manufacturer – that’s the only rule that matters. A modern diesel with a particulate filter needs a different oil than an older petrol engine, and “anything will do” is precisely the recipe for expensive repairs later.

We tell you in advance which oil we propose and what it costs. Prefer a particular brand, or want to bring your own oil and filters? No problem at all – we fit your materials and you pay only the labour: 150–250 lei.

One more practical thing: we keep a record of which oil went into your car, so at the next service you don’t have to remember the specification. And if the manufacturer has updated its recommendation in the meantime – it happens especially with engines that have known lubrication issues – we propose the correct, current one.

Prices

Service prices – no surprises

We list labour separately from materials, so you can see exactly what you’re paying for. All rates, in one place, on the prices page.

JobRate
Extended service (oil + all filters)250–360 lei
Oil + oil filter change only (labour)150–250 lei
Quick diagnostics at the serviceincluded
Safety checks (brakes, lights, tyres)free

The final price depends on the engine and the amount of oil needed – we confirm it exactly by phone, before you book, and it stays fixed. Labour and materials appear separately, so you always see what you are paying for.

How much does an extended car service cost in Timișoara?

Our base rate: 250–360 lei. The final price depends on the engine and how much oil it needs, which is why we confirm the exact figure by phone before you book – and it stays fixed. No surprise line items on the invoice.

How long does a service take? Can I wait on site?

A standard service usually takes between one and two hours, depending on the model and what the checks turn up. You can wait here, or leave the car and pick it up later the same day – whatever suits you.

Can I bring my own oil and filters?

Yes, no problem. We fit the materials you bring and you pay only the labour. One request: the oil must match your manufacturer’s specification – if you’re not sure, send us a photo of the label on WhatsApp and we’ll confirm.

How many kilometres between services?

The general rule: every 10,000–15,000 km, or at least once a year – whichever comes first. Cars doing lots of short city trips need the shorter interval. We’ll tell you the exact interval for your model on the phone.

Does a service replace the ITP inspection?

No. The ITP is the official inspection required by law; a service is the car’s actual maintenance – two different things. But a service done on time greatly improves your chances of passing the ITP first try, and we flag anything that would fail in advance.

Do you service cars with automatic gearboxes?

Yes. On top of the standard engine service, on automatics we check the condition of the transmission fluid and tell you whether a change is recommended at your mileage, following the manufacturer’s guidance. You get the price beforehand, as always.

Will you remind me when the next service is due?

Yes – when we hand the car back we note the mileage and tell you clearly when the next service is due. If you like, we’ll get in touch when the date approaches, so you don’t have to keep track yourself.

Can I book a service on WhatsApp?

Yes, it’s actually the easiest way: message us on WhatsApp at +40 724 714 202 with the make, model and mileage, and we’ll reply with the price and propose a day. You get the booking confirmation in writing, in the same chat.
