  • Computer diagnostics explained in plain language
  • Fixed price before the repair – no surprises at the till
  • We show you the replaced parts and hand them over
Step 1

Every repair starts with a diagnosis

We don’t swap parts on a hunch. First we find out what the car actually has – so you only pay for what genuinely needs fixing.

We plug in the diagnostic tester, read the fault codes from all the car’s control units and match them against the symptoms you describe: a warning light, a noise, a hesitation under acceleration. Then we verify mechanically what the codes point to – because a fault code shows the area of the problem, not always the guilty part.

At the end you get an explanation in plain language, not a cryptic code: what we found, what’s urgent, what can wait. Based on the diagnosis we prepare a fixed-price estimate. An explanation you can actually follow is, incidentally, one of the things customers mention most often in our Google reviews.

Diagnostic fee: 250 lei. You’ll hear it on the phone anyway, before you come in – like all our prices.

Mechanical work

Car mechanics in Timișoara

The most common mechanical jobs in our workshop – with the symptoms that give them away.

Mechanical work is our daily bread. Below are the jobs we do most often – if you recognise your symptom, give us a call and we’ll tell you straight away how we’d proceed.

Brakes: pads and discs

Squealing when you brake, a pulsing pedal or longer stopping distances? We check pads, discs, calipers and brake fluid – and only replace what’s genuinely worn.

Suspension and steering

The car thumps over bumps, pulls to one side or the steering feels loose? We check shock absorbers, bushings, control arms and track rod ends – and after the repair comes wheel alignment.

Timing belt and chain

A timing kit changed on schedule means a protected engine. We replace the belt or chain, rollers and water pump according to the manufacturer’s intervals.

Clutch

A heavy pedal, that telltale smell when pulling away or slipping under load all point to a worn clutch. You get a fixed-price estimate before anything comes apart.

Engine

From oil leaks and glow plugs to more serious engine work – we diagnose first, then repair what’s actually needed, not what “might be”.

Auto electrics

The electrical side: battery, alternator, starter, sensors

Half of all “mystery faults” are electrical: a battery on its last legs, an alternator that has stopped charging, a tired starter motor or a sensor sending nonsense values. We test the charging and starting circuit, hunt down parasitic drains and repair corroded wiring and connectors.

Car completely dead? You have two options, both on the same phone number: if it’s just the battery, our roadside assistance team jump-starts you on the spot and you drive on. If it’s more than that, we put the car on the flatbed and bring it to the workshop, where we look for the real cause – not just the symptom.

All makes

We repair all makes – diesel, petrol, hybrid

We’re a multi-brand workshop: Volkswagen, Renault, Dacia, Ford, Opel, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Toyota, Hyundai and every other common make pass through our workshop all the time. We work on both diesel and petrol engines – with up-to-date testers and technical data for each.

Modern diesels have their own chapters – particulate filter, injectors, EGR – and turbo petrols have theirs. We know the symptoms on both sides and, more importantly, we tell you openly when a problem is a “known issue” of your model and which fix actually lasts, rather than just holding until the next invoice.

Driving a hybrid or an EV? We take those too – from the classic chassis, brake and suspension work to checking the auxiliary systems. Tell us the exact model on the phone and we’ll confirm honestly whether your job can be done here, or point you in the right direction. We only promise what we can deliver.

Parts: genuine or aftermarket – you choose

With every estimate you get a choice: genuine parts or quality aftermarket ones, each with its own clear price. We tell you honestly where the price difference is worth it and where it isn’t – the decision stays yours.

And the old parts don’t just vanish: we show them to you and hand them over when you collect the car, if you want them. That way you see with your own eyes what was changed and why. You can also bring your own parts – we agree the conditions openly on the phone, before the booking.

A detail that matters for your budget: for many jobs there are three or four tiers of parts, with serious price differences between them. We present them by manufacturer name, not as “good part / bad part” – and the estimate lists parts and labour separately, in black and white.

Service areas

Who we repair for: Timișoara and the surrounding area

The workshop in Dumbrăvița sits on the northern edge of Timișoara, and most of the cars in our bays come from a short radius around it. From Timișoara we mostly see city wear: brakes, suspension and batteries that die in the car parks up north. Covaci is our nearest neighbour, so people drop the car off and walk back. Commuters from Sânandrei leave it in the morning on their way into town; from Giarmata many arrive after a breakdown on the A1; and from Moșnița Nouă the eastern ring road brings us accident damage. If the car will not move, we bring it in ourselves.

Frequently asked questions

Are parts and labour listed separately on the estimate?

Yes – the estimate shows the parts on one side and the labour on the other, so you can see exactly what you are paying for. Where there is a choice between genuine and quality aftermarket parts, each option appears with its own price, and the total stays fixed once you approve it. The hourly rate and all our other price reference points are on the prices page.

I don’t know what’s wrong with my car – what do I do?

No problem – that’s exactly what diagnostics are for. Describe the symptoms on the phone, bring the car in (or we’ll collect it), and we read the fault codes, check things mechanically and explain in plain language what we found. Only then do we talk repair and price.

Do I get the final price before you start the repair?

Yes, always. After the diagnosis you receive an estimate with the final price, and we don’t start without your approval. If something unexpected comes up mid-job, we call you first – we never make decisions with your money without you knowing.

Can I bring my own parts?

Yes, you can – plenty of customers prefer to order parts themselves. We tell you exactly which part you need and, to keep everything fair, we agree the fitting and warranty conditions for customer-supplied parts on the phone.

Is there a warranty on parts and labour?

Yes. Parts we fit carry the manufacturer’s warranty, and our labour is covered in line with current legislation. The specific conditions for your job are written on the estimate – you know them before, not after. The general framework is set out in our terms and conditions.

How long does a typical repair take?

It depends on the job: a set of brake pads or a simple electrical fix is usually done the same day; a timing belt or a clutch can take longer. You get a realistic timeframe together with the estimate – and we stick to it.

Do you repair hybrid or electric cars?

Yes, both – tell us the exact model and the job you need on the phone, and we’ll confirm openly what we can do here. One thing is certain: if the car needs transporting, EVs go on the flatbed only, never on a rope.

Do you fix the cause, or just clear the warning light?

The cause. Clearing a fault code without repairing anything only buys you a few kilometres – the light comes back. We read the codes, verify mechanically what they point to and repair what is actually broken; after that the code stays cleared, because nothing is left to trigger it.
